New Blog Platform

As of late afternoon yesterday, this blog and a few hundred others were moved from the old TechNet blogs platform to the new one.  All of the content, links and ratings should have flowed over.  From what I'm seeing so far, performance is also much improved.

The old layout is on the left, and the initial view of the new one is on the right.

One thing that you will notice is that the URL has changed.  The old blog URL was https://blogs.technet.com/rmilne*

The namespace was adjusted so that the URL will now be: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/rmilne.

The blog migration team have placed redirects so that all of the old links should continue to work.  If you are finding links that are not functioning after the migration, please leave a comment below so we can take a look.

Update 9-3-2016 – Reposted this from Windows Live Writer.  Format changed slightly.

Cheers,

* - Well almost.  https://blogs.technet.com/rmilne was the original blog platform address.  Due to a genius decision when migrating to a previous iteration of that old platform the "/b" was added to the URL.  So Technically the blog URL was http://blogs.technet.com/b/rmilne,  but who really wants to remember that extra "b" or type it in.  Thankfully that goes away, and the redirects will handle this namespace as well.
