Web Application Proxy Service Not Starting Due to Malformed Configuration File

The below Web Application Proxy (WAP) server had an unexpected issue.  When the machine came back up, it had lost the configuration to allow it to communicate to the AD FS farm.  This is not specifically an VM/Hyper-V/Azure issue, it is more of a WAP issue.

Fixing the issue is straight forward, though let’s take a look at the symptoms first.

Reminder – Signup For Moving Tenant To Canadian Datacenter Region

Exchange Management Shell Pipeline Not Executed Because a Pipeline Is Already Executing

Exchange 2010 OAB Recommended Configuration

The Exchange 2010 OAB needs some love and attention after it has been created with the default settings.  While things may not be broken, they are less than ideal.

Exchange 2016 CU3 has been released to the Microsoft download centre!  Exchange 2016 has a different servicing strategy than Exchange 2007/2010 and utilises Cumulative Updates (CUs) rather than the Rollup Updates (RU/UR) which were used previously.    CUs are a complete installation of Exchange 2016 and can be used to install a fresh server or to update a previously installed one.
