Exchange 2016 CU2 has been released to the Microsoft download centre! Exchange 2016 has a different servicing strategy than Exchange 2007/2010 and utilises Cumulative Updates (CUs) rather than the Rollup Updates (RU/UR) which were used previously. Exchange 2010 SP3 RU14 Released

Patch Tuesday this week heralded the arrival of Rollup Update Rollup 14 (RU14) for Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3. RU14 is the latest rollup of customer fixes available for Exchange Server 2010. Script To Remove Windows Update Server Values From Registry

PowerShell Tail Command

In a recent customer conversation, they were excited that PowerShell 5.0 would contain the option to tail a log file. While they were excited to get that feature, they were less excited to hear that PowerShell 3.0 had already added the –Tail parameter to the Get-Content cmdlet. Previously there have been other solutions to get this functionality, but is now native in PowerShell.

Azure AD Module – This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded

When attempting to run the Windows Azure Active Directory Module on a Windows 7 or 2008 R2 machine, things did not go swimmingly. In fact they did not work at all. The error message of “This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded” was reported.

Exchange Support For Windows Server 2016

Windows Server 2016 is available, and it is now supported to install Exchange 2016 onto this version of Windows. Initially this was not the case.
